Early Years Foundation Stage
 
Welcome to Reception, where children begin an exciting journey of learning, discouvery and independence.
Our EYFS area is a happy, nurturing and stimulating environment where every child is encouraged to explore, investigate, create and have fun.  Through a balance of purposeful play, adult led learning and rish experiences, we help children develop confidence, curiosity and a love of learning.
We place great importance on building strong relationships and supporting each child as they settle into school life.  Our curriculum follows the Early Years Foundation Stage, with learning carefully planned around children's interests, experiences and developmental needs.
From discovering stories and developing a love of books, to exploring numbers, creating masterpieces, investigating the natural world and developing friendships, every day brings new opportunites to learn.
We encourage our children to be kind, confident, curious and independent, developing the skills and attitudes they need to become successful lifelong learners.
We can't wait to see where our Reception adventures take us!

Hello, my name is Mrs Ryan. I am very excited to be teaching the Acorn class this year. I really enjoy teaching in EYFS, it is a privilege to be part of children's first experiences of school and to encourage a love of learning. I like to promote children's independence in learning and love reading a good story.

Hello, my name is Mrs Marsh. I have been teaching in EYFS for a very long time and would not like to be anywhere else. It is so fantastic to play a small part in watching the children settle and grow into school life. To see their personalities and interest flourish and to see their confidence and independence grow and the excitement they have when they learn something new.
