Year 3

Welcome to Year 3

Our big question this term is:

What made the human body so important to the Ancient Egyptians?
Miss V Phillips

Ash Class

Hello my name is Miss Phillips, I teach year three which is fantastic as the children are very curious and interested in some of the objects I have on my curiosity table in my classroom such as Roman coins, dinosaur teeth, Lewis chessmen replicas, python skin and vertebrae. I enjoy science especially learning about exoskeletons as I have a family of mantis stick insects on my desk that regularly shed their skin to grow. I enjoy teaching art; my favourite project is making a clay replica of the Lion man Stone age sculpture. I have travelled all over the world and had lots of adventures such as walking through lava caves in New Zealand and diving with sharks in Fiji so I have lots of stories to tell my class.

Mrs L Lee

Elm Class

Hello! I'm Mrs Lee. I am delighted to be teaching in Year 3 this year, with Mrs Bennett. I'm so lucky to continue learning with many of the same wonderful children from last year, as well as welcoming new faces into our classroom.
I am looking forward to all the interesting and stimulating topics we are going to cover; I strongly believe that learning should be fun, meaningful and purposeful. My aim is for you to LOVE your learning and to help you reach your full potential. I know how amazing you all are!!!

Mrs K Bennett

Hello! I am Mrs Bennett and I am looking forward to teaching in Year 3 and working with Mrs Lee. I am passionate about Learning Outside the Classroom and can't wait to continue our Wild Wednesday initiative with children from across the school. I want every child to continue to benefit from our amazing school grounds and show off their hidden talents!
